Sun Factory Cuyo: we're coming to Mendoza

We've got something big to share. Sun Factory is opening a new regional division under the name Sun Factory Cuyo, based in Mendoza and with a permanent crew on the ground. It's a step we've been thinking about for a long time, and it's happening now with the right people, craft and point of view.

Local coordination is in the hands of Flor Groppa, Mendoza-born photographer. Flor has been working on product, gastronomy and winery photography across the region for years, with a background in film and theater that shows in how she thinks every frame. Her eye is going to shape the day-to-day of the Cuyo operation.

What we'll be doing from Mendoza

The focus is clear: product and packaging photography, winery and wine-tourism production, gastronomy content, institutional photography, audiovisual production for brands and content development for social. We're not going to do everything for everyone. We're going to do what we already know how to do well, now with a local base.

Why Mendoza

The province has a growing audiovisual market and a level of professional production that still doesn't cover real demand. Wineries need quality content to compete in international markets. Wine tourism has been on the rise for years and drives brands, restaurants, experiences and editorial projects. Mendoza's gastronomy is now a regional reference, and that asks for images that match the level. Add the international tourism arriving in Cuyo and the picture is clear: there's a lot to produce and not enough professional structure solving projects at an international standard.

It felt strange to keep watching all of that from Buenos Aires.

How the model works

The idea is simple: a local crew that knows the locations, the light hours in the Uco Valley, the regional logistics and the players in the Mendoza market, backed by the team, resources and experience Sun Factory built in Buenos Aires over the last twenty years. Day-to-day projects are solved from Mendoza. For bigger productions or anything that needs reinforcement, we add crew, direction and post from Buenos Aires.

The result is something that just works in practice: local closeness and speed, without losing the scale or standards of an established production company.
