Audiovisual production in Mendoza: local team, Buenos Aires backup

Sun Factory arrives in Mendoza with a permanent local crew to produce institutional video, brand content, commercial photography and wine-event coverage. When it makes sense to have a production company based in the province.

Until recently, almost every production company doing serious work in Mendoza arrived by plane. Buenos Aires crew, gear in cases, three shoot days, and then everyone flew back. It worked, but it meant paying travel and per diems for people who didn't know the locations, and rushing through decisions that others could have thought through more carefully.

So we built it the other way around. Sun Factory Cuyo arrives with a permanent local crew. Mendoza people producing in Mendoza, with the infrastructure, creative backup and resources that come from an established production company in Buenos Aires. Local people with Buenos Aires behind them, without the overhead of bringing everything in from outside.

What kind of production we do

The menu is wide but specific: institutional video for companies, audiovisual content for brands, commercial and product photography, wine-event coverage, wine-tourism content and pieces produced for social and digital platforms. The idea isn't to offer absolutely everything. It's to offer what we already do well, with a local base.

Why having a crew in the province matters

The difference shows up in details that look small and are decisive. Knowing the light hours in the Uco Valley, where the mountain eats sunlight on a different clock than Buenos Aires and planning a shoot without that means losing a day. Knowing which winery you visit on a Tuesday and which on a Friday. Knowing the locations before the scout. Having local providers for lighting, catering and support, without depending on long-distance logistics. Talking to winemakers in their language and understanding the craft before filming it.

All of that translates into fewer wasted hours, better decisions, and a result you can see.

The hybrid model

For day-to-day productions, everything is resolved from Mendoza. That cuts cost, speeds up the timeline and lets us be available for projects that don't justify moving a full crew in from another province.

For bigger productions (national campaigns, content for international brands, projects that need specific art direction or more complex post) we bring reinforcement from Buenos Aires. Extra crew, special gear, direction or post team depending on what the project asks for.

Same team, same standards, same way of working. The scale changes with the brief.

Sectors

Wineries, wine and wine tourism. Hotels, restaurants and gastronomy projects. Heavy industry, energy and agribusiness across Cuyo. Regional brands with national ambition. Public sector and institutional projects. And, every now and then, a documentary or author-driven project that catches us.
